Beach Weekend!

This past weekend was eventful and regretful! Friday night we went out for our regular date night. We saw 'Julie and Julia' and loved it, then ate at Panda Express. We love our date nights. Drew had a hard time being in a theater with almost all women, but he pulled through, even with the lady next to us that kept repeating every line of the movie. Hilarious!


Saturday we slept in and then headed out to Santa Monica Beach to our Ward Beach Party. When we arrived, there weren't to many people there as of yet. We set up our Beach stuff(Thanks to Meg and Britt), and then headed for the water. For the first little while, there was a nice Marine layer, we were really good at applying the first layer of sun block, but with the clouds we didn't think to put anymore on. We ended up staying there for about 4 hours. We swam, ate lunch with drinks and water mellon thanks to the ward, chatted with ward members, and I tried surfing for the first time and loved it, I even got up on my first try. When arriving home, we realized that our bodies started hurting. We were burnt to a crisp, literally. We had some newly married friends coming to visit, so we hurried and got ready to take them out for a nice dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and then caught up on old times back at our place.

Sunday I woke up early to prepare breakfast. We had our favorite Belgium waffles with ice cream, fruit, and sausages. Then we headed to church and then accompanied our friends to the Beach again for the 2nd time. This time we were only there for an hour or so, but we were better at putting on our sun block. We then headed home ate a roast beef dinner(Dad it turned out Great, thank you). It was overall a great weekend. Now we are both back at work, with the case of the Monday's, bright red skin, and we have learned our lesson! Maybe we'll post picture's?
